Browser Extension Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 22, 2026
This policy explains how the Dealspapa browser extension ("Dealspapa – Coupons & Promo Codes", the "extension") handles information. It applies only to the extension. Our website Privacy Policy covers your use of https://www.dealspapa.com.
1. Summary
- The extension shows Dealspapa coupon codes and deals for the online store you are shopping on.
- It works out which store you are on on your device. The addresses of the pages you visit are not sent to us or to anyone else.
- It does not collect personal information, browsing history, page content or payment details.
- It does not use analytics or advertising trackers, and it does not require an account.
- We do not sell or share user data.
2. Information processed only on your device
Store list: the extension downloads the list of store websites listed on Dealspapa and keeps a copy on your device.
Current page address: to recognise a store, the extension compares the address of the current tab with that list on your device. This happens when you click the Dealspapa toolbar icon, and automatically on the websites of supported stores, where the extension shows the coupon count on its icon and the optional coupon notice. The address is used only for this comparison and is never sent to Dealspapa or any other server.
The extension does not read the content of web pages, forms, shopping carts or payment details on any website.
3. Information sent to Dealspapa
When you are on a supported store, the extension requests that store's coupons from https://www.dealspapa.com. The request contains only the store's identifier on Dealspapa (for example "noon-coupon-code"), the selected country and your language. It does not contain the page address, your browsing history, any identifier for you or your device, or any personal information.
As with any internet request, our hosting provider receives standard technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, in order to deliver the response. We do not use this information to identify you, track you or build a browsing profile, and we do not combine it with any account information.
4. Information stored on your device
- Settings: your chosen language, country and whether the on-page notice is shown, saved with Chrome's storage. If you use Chrome sync, Chrome may sync these settings between your devices.
- Cached data: a temporary copy of the store list (refreshed about every 12 hours) and of coupons you have viewed (refreshed about every 30 minutes), so the extension works quickly and uses less data.
- Notice preferences: when you close the coupon notice on a store's website, the extension remembers that store's website name for 24 hours so the notice stays hidden there.
- This information stays on your device. It is removed when you uninstall the extension.
5. What the extension does not collect
The extension does not collect or transmit personally identifiable information, health information, financial or payment information, authentication information, personal communications, location, web browsing history, user activity (such as clicks, mouse movements or keystrokes) or website content. It does not set cookies of its own.
6. Affiliate links
Some links in the extension, including "Get Deal" buttons, are affiliate links. They open only when you click them. When you click one, the store or an affiliate network may set cookies or receive a referral identifier so that a purchase can be credited to Dealspapa, which may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you. Those websites have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read. The extension never adds affiliate links to pages or changes links on websites.
7. Sharing and selling of data
We do not sell, rent or share user data with third parties. We do not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to showing you coupons, and we do not use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
The use of information received through Chrome extension APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
8. Permissions the extension uses
- Storage: saves your settings and the temporary copies described above.
- Active tab: when you click the toolbar icon, gives temporary access to the current tab so the extension can read its address and show the coupon panel there. Access ends when you leave the page.
- Scripting: adds the coupon panel to the current page, only after you click the toolbar icon.
- Side panel: shows the coupon list in Chrome's side panel.
- Access to dealspapa.com: downloads the store list and coupons.
- Access to supported store websites: shows the coupon count on the icon and the optional notice. On these websites the extension reads only the page address.
9. Your choices
- Turn off the on-page notice at any time in the extension's settings.
- Choose your language and country in the extension's settings.
- Remove the extension from Chrome (chrome://extensions) to stop it completely and delete everything it stored on your device.
10. Children
The extension is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
11. Changes to this policy
If the way the extension handles information changes, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above before the change takes effect. Material changes will also be described in the extension's Chrome Web Store listing.
